Alexi Runnels is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in project management within the genomics field. Currently serving as a Scientific Collaboration Manager at the New York Genome Center since October 2018, Alexi leads large-scale projects, coordinates grant applications, and manages a team of project managers. Prior roles at the New York Genome Center include Scientific Project Manager and Assistant Scientific Project Manager, focusing on sequencing project management and cross-team coordination. Alexi earned a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University, where valuable research was conducted on gene expression in C. elegans and mentorship was provided to graduate and undergraduate students. An undergraduate degree in Biology with a specialization in Biotechnology was obtained from the University of Florida.
