Dong Wang

Dong Wang is a Research Associate at the New York Genome Center, starting in July 2023. Prior to this role, Dong served as a Computational Biology Research Assistant at Colgate University from January 2021 to July 2023, focusing on projects related to the gut microbiome and contributing to a first-author journal publication utilizing machine learning and network analysis to study the microbiome of schizophrenia patients. Additional experiences include serving as a Teaching Assistant for a computer science course, where responsibilities included supporting students and developing course materials, as well as an Information Technology Intern, assisting with projects such as campus printer migration and troubleshooting. Dong Wang holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Colgate University, completed in 2023.
