Endre Hegedus, PhD, currently serves as Technical Lead and Clinical Laboratory Manager at the New York Genome Center since June 2021, overseeing advanced laboratory procedures for clinical molecular diagnostics and providing team leadership. Previously, Hegedus held roles as Molecular Laboratory Supervisor and Technologist at Cairo Diagnostics, LLC, and as Laboratory Technologist IV at Sema4, focusing on medical diagnostics and next-generation sequencing. Hegedus also has extensive experience at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, contributing as an Associate Research Scientist and Clinical Laboratory Technologist, along with postdoctoral research in neurodegenerative mouse models at both Columbia University and the University of Iowa. Initial research experience took place at Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC, managing preclinical studies. Hegedus earned a PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from the University of Pécs and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Szeged.
