Scott Simpkins

Scott Simpkins is a Scientist at Octant with experience as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine and a Graduate Fellow at the University of Minnesota. Scott has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Gustavus Adolphus College. Scott's work primarily involves developing software pipelines for predicting synthetic lethal interactions and analyzing chemical-genetic profiles for drug discovery and cancer treatment. Scott has also served as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Computing in Biology and has interned at The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences.
