Shilpa Oommen

Shilpa Oommen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Shilpa started their career in 2012 as an Intern at New York Life Insurance Company. Shilpa then worked as an International Teacher and Volunteer English Teacher at Casa Hoy and Maximo Nivel, respectively.

In 2013, Shilpa joined SUNY New Paltz as a Graduate Assistant and later became a Project Manager at SIFE. Shilpa then worked as a School Manager/Campus Leader at Colupon before joining Auckland Council as a Senior Coordinator in Community Development Arts and Culture.

From 2015 to 2017, Shilpa worked at Uber, initially as Partner Support Operations and later as a Senior Greenlight Expert in HR & Recruitment. In 2017, they joined Sidekicker as a Senior Recruiter, where they managed end-to-end recruiting processes, developed innovative recruitment strategies, and collaborated with hiring managers to ensure quality hires across multiple departments.

Currently, Shilpa is working at Olo as an Associate Director of Tech Recruiting, responsible for overseeing tech recruitment efforts. Shilpa previously held roles as a Senior Technical Recruiter and Technical Recruiter at the same company.

Shilpa Oommen completed their education starting from 2005 to 2009 at Nanuet Senior HS. Shilpa then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in International Business and Management from SUNY New Paltz, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from SUNY New Paltz between 2013 and 2014.
