Karen Schlesinger

Karen Schlesinger is the current Principal Software Product Manager at Omnidian. Karen has also previously worked as the Interim Product Manager at Urbint, the Dissertation Advisor and Curriculum Advisor for Glasgow Caledonian New York College, the Product Director for The Love Vote, and the Head of Product for Memria.

Karen has a background in social enterprise, sustainability, and education. Karen leverages this experience to develop products that solve critical urban infrastructure problems. In their previous role as Interim Product Manager at Urbint, they developed three products in two months that provide machine-learning forecasts to natural gas utilities to help them anticipate and more quickly respond to natural gas leaks in their infrastructure.

As Dissertation Advisor and Curriculum Advisor for Glasgow Caledonian New York College’s Impact-Focused Business and Investing Master's Program, Karen works with the university's leadership team on the structure, focus and content of the courses. Karen is also responsible for advising graduate students in the program on their dissertations.

In their previous role as Product Director for The Love Vote, Karen was responsible for developing and managing a product that helps people connect with local politicians to have a greater impact on the political process. And as Head of Product for Memria, they were responsible for leading a team of product managers and designers to develop a digital memory platform that helps people capture and share their memories with loved ones.

Karen Schlesinger has an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School. Karen also has a Masters in Fine Arts in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Cinema & Photography from Ithaca College. Karen is certified by the ISOS Group as a Certified GRI Sustainability Reporter and by EarthShift as Certified in SimaPro Life Cycle Assessment Software.
