Frederic D. Sweeney

Frederic D. Sweeney is an accomplished executive and expert in molecular diagnostics and life sciences, currently serving as Board Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer at VedaBio since November 2022, while also holding the position of President and COO at OMX Ventures. In addition to these roles, Sweeney has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto since December 2017, a Board Member at Qvella Corporation, and a Corporate Development Advisor at MeMed, among other leadership positions in various biotechnology firms. Sweeney holds a PhD in Molecular and Medical Genetics from the University of Toronto, a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Immunology from McGill University, and completed an Executive Program at Harvard Law School in 2014.
