Ern Blackwelder

Ern Blackwelder has over 35 years of experience in business and healthcare. Ern began their career in 1983 as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where they were promoted to Consultant before entering business school. In 1988, they returned to Bain & Company as a Consultant and was promoted to Manager before leaving for BMC West in 1992. At BMC, they were the Regional Director and Assistant to the President, managing M&A and quality improvement. In 1994, they became Division President of Vivra Specialty Partners, a physician practice management and single specialty network firm. In 1998, they were appointed CEO of iMedix. In 1999, they became COO of ArsDigita, an early leader in open source enterprise software for content management and ecommerce. In 2002, they joined Business Executives for National Security as a Senior VP, designing and leading the country's first disaster response public-private partnerships after 9/11. In 2008, they became CEO of both Onsite Dental and Onsite Health. Onsite Dental is a national leader in offering high quality, value-based dental care and industry-leading patient satisfaction scores at or near the workplace. Onsite Health was a national leader in providing mobile medical readiness exams and dental treatment. In 2016, they sold Onsite Health to focus on growing Onsite Dental.

Ern Blackwelder received their MBA from Harvard Business School in 1988 and their BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley in 1982.
