Yuriy Kurylyak

Yuriy Kurylyak started their work experience in 2008 as a Manager at Travel Company "Gal-Cruise" and remained in that position until 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Quality Assurance and Testing volunteer for the project "Kids room" for a brief period. Later that year, Yuriy joined SoftServe and served as a Quality Control Engineer. Yuriy'sroles at SoftServe included working with User Device Tracker (SolarWinds), Storage Resource Monitor (SolarWinds), and Email Security Appliance (Cisco). Yuriy was responsible for configuring test environments, creating test cases, executing tests, detecting and describing bugs, and verifying fixes. Yuriy also handled client issues, carried out system/stress tests, and worked on automation test cases. Yuriy utilized various tools and protocols, such as Jira, Confluence, TestLink, Jira/Rally, CDETS, WinSCP, VMware/vSphere/VirtualBox, Putty/Xshell5, and more. In 2019, they joined OpenVPN Inc. as a Quality Control Engineer, focusing on their Access Server.

Yuriy Kurylyak has a diverse education history. In 1994 to 2004, they attended Lviv Secondary Specialized School #681, specializing in foreign languages such as English and German. Following this, from 2005 to 2010, they pursued a Master's degree in tourism and travel services management at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

In 2015, Yuriy enrolled in the Computer Training Center "Logos" for undisclosed studies. The year 2016 marked the start of their education at SoftServe IT Academy, where they studied quality control technology/technician. During the same year, Yuriy also attended SoftServe Language School until 2018.

Furthermore, Yuriy has obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills. In 2017, they earned the Cisco Security Ninja White Belt certification from Cisco. Additionally, in 2018, Yuriy became an ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level after completing the qualification provided by ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
