Basheer Azizi

Basheer Azizi has a strong background in software development and system architecture. Basheer is the Founder and current CEO of OpSmart Inc. since February 2012. Prior to that, Basheer worked at Blackboard as a Senior Manager of Software Development from August 2006 to January 2012, where they designed and built mission-critical ITSM enterprise applications. Before joining Blackboard, they served as a Senior Systems & Software Architect at COMSYS, where they built CRM and enterprise management solutions, deployed storage SANs, and consolidated data centers. Basheer also worked at Blackboard as a Senior Monitoring and Software Architect from July 2004 to August 2005, where they deployed network monitoring solutions and developed various management applications. Basheer started their career at Verisign as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2003 to 2004, followed by a role as a Principle Systems Engineer at Sun Microsystems from 2001 to 2003. Basheer's first position was as a Systems Support Engineer at ePlus Technology from 2000 to 2001.

Basheer Azizi has pursued a higher education, primarily at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
