Lead Systems Engineer - Test at Optos

Carlo Fiorentini has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Carlo began their career at Marconi in 1991 as a Software Engineer, where they developed image recognition software for target tracking on infra-red images and implemented a new segment clustering algorithm. Carlo then worked at Markem as a Software support from 1994 to 1994 before joining IRMEL Srl as a Software Engineer until 1995.

From 1995 to 2010, Carlo was a Software Engineer at Agilent Technologies, where they developed embedded software for receiver calibration data and gained experience in Microsoft Visual Studio C# and SQL database queries. Carlo then joined Aeroflex in 2010 as a Principal Design Engineer, and co-designed and implemented a device driver for the 3070 Digitizer PXI module.

In 2013, Carlo joined Optos as a Senior Software Engineer, and later became a Lead Engineer at Trig Avionics Limited in 2017. Carlo is currently working as a Lead Systems Engineer - Test at Optos since 2018.

Carlo Fiorentini attended Università degli Studi di Genova from 1983 to 1989, where they earned a degree in Ingegneria Elettronica (Electronic Engineering). In terms of additional certifications, Carlo obtained a Certificate in Financial Mathematics from The Faculty and Institute of Actuaries in September 2009. Carlo also completed several online courses, including "Understanding the Brain: The Neurobiology of Everyday Life" and "The Brain and Space" from Coursera, as well as "Introduction to Philosophy: God, Knowledge and Consciousness" from edX. Additionally, Carlo completed the course "A Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior" from Coursera and "Moralities of Everyday Life" from Coursera. Carlo also received an edX Verified Certificate for Optical Materials and Devices, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certificate are unknown.
