Bret Dethlefsen has more than a decade of experience in the automotive industry, primarily focusing on technology, digital marketing, and eCommerce. Bret has held leadership positions at Classic Industries, OER - Original Equipment Reproduction, and General Marketing Capital Inc. At Classic Industries, Bret served as the Chief Technology Officer and was responsible for overseeing IT operations, ecommerce, and digital strategy. Bret also provided solutions for cloud information systems to support various aspects of the business. As the Director of eCommerce & Digital Strategy at OER, Bret managed digital marketing efforts and online user experience for both B2C and B2B channels. Bret implemented marketing information systems, led a diverse team, and utilized BI platforms for actionable insights. At General Marketing Capital Inc., Bret worked as a Creative Director in charge of designing and implementing the licensing program, building the brand website, and developing a digital marketing strategy. In their role as a Regional Manager at Primerica, Bret focused on serving Main Street families and offering financial tools to help them reach their goals. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Digital Strategy at DUB3 Consulting, where they provided direction for digital marketing strategies and implemented customized campaigns across various industries.
Bret Dethlefsen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Web Design New Media from the Academy of Art University between 2010 and 2017. Prior to that, between 2002 and 2004, they completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Platt College. In addition to their formal education, Bret has acquired several certifications, including the Series 26 from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in September 2019, the Series 63 from NASAA (North American Securities Administrators Association) in August 2018, and the Series 6 from FINRA in July 2018. Bret also holds a Life-Only License from the California Department of Insurance since January 2018. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Netsuite Admin from NetSuite in January 2015, Google - Ecommerce Analytics in July 2014, and Google - Digital Analytics in October 2013. Bret has received certifications through Fred Pryor Seminars and CareerTrack, including Project Management in June 2013. Bret also acquired certifications from Silverpop, an IBM Company in May 2012, and HubSpot in August 2016, which include Email Marketing, Growth-Driven Design, Inbound, and Inbound Sales.
