Erica Powell

Erica Powell is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Child in Need of Care Staff Attorney at Orleans Public Defenders since September 2023. Previously, Erica held various positions at McGlinchey Stafford, including Attorney and Associate Awaiting Licensure, and gained practical experience as a Student Attorney at the Tulane Law First Amendment Clinic. In addition to providing legal support, Erica was actively involved in academic and community initiatives, such as serving as Administrative Justice of Intraschool Competitions in the Tulane Law Moot Court Program and working as a Civic Engagement Intern for the City of Mobile, AL. Erica obtained a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Spring Hill College. Currently, Erica is pursuing a Master’s degree in Museology/Museum Studies at the University of Oklahoma.
