Overland AI builds intelligent uncrewed ground systems for defense and national security. Our autonomy stack, OverDrive, is defining the state-of-the-art for perception, planning, and control of uncrewed vehicles, enabling them to traverse and operate in any terrain, regardless of roads, in any condition. OverDrive was purpose-built for the warfighter. Through our work with DARPA and the U.S. Army, we are developing the intelligent capabilities necessary to power modern ground operations, now and for decades to come.  

In a little over a year, the company has been selected for or awarded eight-figures of OTAs and other contracts across multiple services and DoD customers. We have raised over $10M in funding, led by Point72 Ventures, a top multi-billion dollar AUM defense tech investor. 

Role Summary: 

We’re looking for a Strategic Partnerships Lead to oversee the development of partnerships with original equipment manufacturers in the US and allied Defense Industrial Base (DIB). This role will oversee the formation of business partnerships with a focus on introducing our technology to partners as we strive to expand our relationships in this space.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead engagement for new DIB partners and customers. Communicate with partners and customers to develop meaningful relationships for the business. 
  • Perform market analysis, leading to the identification and closing of opportunities that drive revenue growth and position Overland AI as a key player in the defense space.  
  • Prepare and negotiate teaming agreements.  
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to drive forward the overall revenue growth strategy. 

Desired Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience driving partnership development in the defense and national security sector.  
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships for a government contract as a prime or sub at a defense tech company or other relevant organization.  
  • Demonstrated understanding of the US defense appropriations and acquisition process 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the business strategies of major DIB players and strong network within the sector 
  • Strong working knowledge of the defense space and its key programs, opportunities, and stakeholders.  
  • Experience preparing and negotiating teaming agreements and strategic partnerships in the defense industry.  
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and develop creative solutions to drive forward the partnership development strategy of an early-stage defense startup.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all internal departments and external stakeholders. 

Location: 

Preferred locations for this position are Seattle, Detroit, or the Washington DC area.
