Nesta Hughes

Nesta Hughes is an experienced scientific director and communications consultant at Oxford PharmaGenesis since November 2015, with prior experience as a US publications lead (interim) at Takeda and contract global publications lead at AstraZeneca. Nesta's career began at Keele University as a postdoctoral research associate in tissue engineering, followed by medical writing roles at Oxford PharmaGenesis. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused on the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells for intervertebral disc repair and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in molecular biology, both obtained from The University of Manchester.
