Shon Urbas

Shon Urbas has a long and varied work experience. Shon began with an internship at LivePerson in 1999, where they developed a User Interface for the company's LivePerson Suite product using ASP, JavaScript, VBScript, and DHTML. In 2000, they joined RW Pressprich as an Associate Director, where they designed and implemented a data mining software solution for automatic input of security inventories into the company's proprietary systems. In 2008, they became the Director of Software and System Development at Briarwood Capital Management Inc., where they were in charge of all things technology, including firm-wide trading and back office infrastructure development. In 2014, they joined Handshake Corp. as an Engineering Manager, Platform, where they built and managed a team of 5 engineers and worked with the Product and Professional Services teams to design and deliver productized and customized solutions for the enterprise customer's integration needs. In 2017, they founded Greenwood Tech and also became the CTO & Founder of Pandium (Techstars '18). Finally, in 2018, they joined Techstars as a Mentor.

Shon Urbas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Trinity College-Hartford between 2003 and 2006.
