Jeff Pierce has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jeff started their career in 1994 as a Team Member at Mark's Pizza and then worked as a Sales Associate at Software Etc. and Ace Hardware Corporation in 1994 and 1995 respectively. In 1996, they served as a Software Developer at the City of Lansing Police Department and as a Technical Support Engineer at the Legislative Service Bureau. Between 1995 and 1997, Jeff worked as a Teaching Assistant in Computer Science at Alma College.
In 1997, Jeff joined Applied Materials as a Senior Software Engineer where they developed software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Jeff later became a Technical Program Manager and played a key role in resolving conflicts and ensuring on-time software delivery for new products. Jeff also served as a Software Product Manager and led a team in developing and delivering software for a $1 billion product business group.
After a planned career break in 2015, during which they focused on studying agile methodologies and web technologies, as well as experiencing Central and South American cultures, Jeff joined Luxottica in 2016. As the Director of Product Management, they led the digital product development team and utilized a proprietary computer vision technology across various online and physical store properties.
Since 2018, Jeff has been working at Peet's Coffee. Jeff started as the Director of Digital Product Management and was responsible for managing Peet's Coffee eCommerce and the Native iOS Peet's Coffee Mobile App. Jeff later transitioned to the role of Director of Data Science and Analytics, leveraging their expertise in data analysis and analytics to further enhance Peet's Coffee's business operations.
Throughout their career, Jeff has demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Jeff has experience in managing and mentoring software engineers, product designers, and product managers.
Jeff Pierce attended Alma College from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In 2016, they also earned the certification of Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance.
