Heather Chaffey

Heather Chaffey is an experienced community resilience and program management professional, currently serving as the Community Resilience Program Manager at Penrith City Council since June 2023. Previous roles include Director of Policy and Programs at Western Sydney Community Forum and Community Partnerships Manager at Active Care Network, where focus was placed on fostering partnerships for social impact. Heather has extensive experience in community engagement and safety through positions held at Wentworth Community Housing and a long tenure at Penrith City Council, where roles included managing various place-based programs aimed at addressing disadvantage and fostering community development. Educational accomplishments include a Post Graduate Certificate in Local Government Leadership from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Social Science from Charles Sturt University.
