Florian Albrecht

Florian Albrecht has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Florian is currently serving as the Head of Research and Infrastructure at Pensionskasse SBB, where they began in July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Analyst Asset Allocation at the same company from January 2021 to June 2021.

Before joining Pensionskasse SBB, Florian held the position of Director - Senior Hedge Fund Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Vontobel Asset Management from June 2018 to March 2020. Florian also served as a Senior Portfolio Manager Alternative Investments at Baloise Asset Management from January 2012 to May 2018.

Florian's earlier experience includes roles at Man Investments, where they worked as a Senior Investment Analyst from December 2010 to August 2011, a Portfolio Construction and Asset Allocation Specialist from July 2008 to November 2010, and a Quantitative Analyst from January 2006 to June 2008.

Florian started their career at Swiss Re as a Telematik Engineer from July 2001 to October 2004, and briefly worked as a Junior Associate Business Technology at McKinsey & Company in February 2001. Florian also has experience in the audio industry, having worked as a Project Manager at Studer Professional Audio GmbH from September 1999 to November 2000, and as a Software Engineer from September 1997 to August 1999.

Florian Albrecht has a diverse education history. Florian completed their MSc in Electrical Engineering at ETH Zürich from 1992 to 1997. In 2002 to 2003, they pursued a Nachdiplom FH in Business Engineering at FH Bern. Later, in 2004 to 2005, Florian obtained their MSc in Finance from HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne.

In addition to their formal education, Florian has also obtained several certifications. In 2007, they became a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) through the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Florian later achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder designation from the CFA Institute in 2014. Florian further expanded their skills by completing the Machine Learning certification from Coursera in November 2019. Florian also completed the DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer Specialization from Coursera in July 2020. Most recently, Florian obtained the Hermes Advanced Certificate from TÜV Süd in September 2020.
