Solomon Aronson has a diverse work experience that spans various positions and roles. Solomon is currently the President and CEO of PeriOptions, LLC since July 2020. Solomon also holds a position as a Professor (Honorary) at the University College of London since 2016. Prior to these roles, they served as the Executive Vice Chair of Business Development in the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University from June 2005. Solomon also held the position of Professor (Tenure) at Duke University School of Medicine within the Duke University Health System. Earlier in their career, Solomon Aronson co-founded and worked as a partner of Continental Anesthesia. Solomon also served as the Vice President of The Medicines Company. Solomon began their academic career at the University of Chicago, where they held positions as a Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.
Solomon Aronson has a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtained in 1979. Solomon then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Honors in Research. Following that, they completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Albany Medical College in 1983. Afterwards, they pursued an Anesthesiology Residency Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1984 to 1986. Solomon also completed a Cardiac-Vascular Fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute from 1986 to 1987, and an Instructor-Fellow position at the University of Chicago, Department of Anesthesia/Critical Care in 1988-1989. Most recently, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Sector Management from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 2011.
