Walt Davis

Walt Davis is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently a Partner at Jones Day since September 2022 and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia School of Law since January 2020, Walt is also a Venture Partner at Phoenix Capital Ventures, focusing on early-stage investments in the sports, gaming, human performance, and immersive media sectors. Previous positions include serving as a Judge at the Georgia State-wide Business Court from July 2019 to September 2022 and as a Partner at Jones Day from August 2002 to January 2020. Walt began their legal career as a Law Clerk for The Honorable Beverly B. Martin at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia from August 2001 to July 2002. Academic credentials include a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School (1998-2001) and a bachelor's degree from Mercer University (1994-1998).
