Chaminda Peiris

Chaminda Peiris is an accomplished materials engineer with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as the Head of Research and Development at Phoenix Industries since May 2020, Chaminda has driven strategic goals and enhanced organizational capacity through interdepartmental collaboration. Prior roles include Materials Engineer at Twinery - Innovations by MAS, where Chaminda led innovative projects and material development initiatives, and Manager of R&D at Camoplast Solideal, overseeing significant joint ventures in Sri Lanka. With a strong academic background, including degrees from Aalborg University and Universidade de Aveiro, Chaminda has contributed to multiple high-impact projects and established educational programs in materials engineering.
