Software Engineer (Robotics) at Pickle Robot

Eric Rogers has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.

Eric is currently working as a Software Engineer (Robotics) at Pickle Robot Company since May 2022.

Prior to this, Eric worked as a Soft Robotics Lab Graduate Researcher at WPI Soft Robotics Lab from January 2021 to May 2022.

Before that, they worked at Raytheon Technologies as a Software Engineer. Eric was involved in developing and integrating software for determining the viability of the DIMA hardware architecture in RF applications. Eric also modified and ran test scripts to verify requirements and functionality of missile embedded software. Eric analyzed raw signal and messaging data in order to verify the test script's output. Eric was with Raytheon Technologies from November 2019 to January 2021.

From January 2018 to November 2019, Eric worked on a classified program within a sub-team of engineers at Raytheon Technologies. Here, they developed, troubleshooted, and maintained software on classified and unclassified systems. Eric used real-world physics to analyze and verify software functionality, and upgraded and debugged software to coincide with compiler upgrades.

Eric also has experience as an Engineering Intern at Moog Inc. from August 2015 to April 2017. Here, they ran and debugged test scripts for motor controllers designed for MDA US Systems' robotic arm. Eric utilized the Perl programming language to verify spacecraft software requirements and read and understood software documentation to test software requirements and update telemetry databases.

In addition, Eric served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University from January 2016 to May 2016. Here, they organized class assignments and schedules and compiled engineering resources into a website for student use. Eric also created a user guide for easy updating and editing of the website.

Lastly, Eric worked as a Math and Physics Tutor from August 2015 to May 2016 while being self-employed.

Eric Rogers completed their Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a focus on Robotics at Arizona State University from 2013 to 2017. Eric then pursued their Master of Science in Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2021 to 2022.
