Sara Poythress

Sara Poythress, MSN, RN, is a seasoned nursing professional currently serving as a Senior Quality and Safety Specialist at Piedmont since June 2023. With a strong academic foundation, including a Master of Science in Nursing from Augusta University and dual bachelor's degrees in Cellular Biology and Anthropology from The University of Georgia, Sara brings extensive teaching experience as a Clinical Instructor at Augusta University since August 2017. Previous clinical experience includes serving as an Intensive Care Nurse at Emory University Hospital, where Sara specialized in the care of critically ill patients and advanced medical technologies.
