Murray Truter

Murray Truter is an experienced electronics and embedded systems engineer with a strong background in medical device development and hardware design. Currently serving as an Embedded Systems Engineer at Planboo since February 2023, Truter previously worked at CapeRay from February 2018 to July 2022, where responsibilities expanded from electronics engineering within a breast cancer screening technology team to include software development and IT management. Earlier roles included Electronics Hardware Engineer at ET Nice, designing cost-effective PCBs, and Design and Development Engineer at EDRO, where Truter created educational projects focused on programming and electronics. An internship experience at Jamdonut involved creating interactive prototypes for exhibitions, while another internship at Airborne Drones involved hands-on repair and assembly of drones. Murray Truter holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Cape Town, complementing educational achievements with foundational studies at the University of Cambridge and South African College High School.
