Robert Hubbard has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Robert is currently the Chief Technology Officer at PlayMetrics, a position they have held since 2022. Robert also held the role of Senior Software Engineer at The Marathon Group from 1997 to 2000, contributing to the creation of SmartPath, an enterprise web-based workflow solution. The Marathon Group was later acquired by Merant, and SmartPath became a separate entity focused on its product.
Prior to their time at The Marathon Group, Robert was a Development Team Lead at Micro Focus from 1995 to 1997, where they led the team in creating the Mainframe Express IDE, an integrated development environment for offloading mainframe applications onto PCs. Robert also worked as a Software Engineer at Burl Software from 1994 to 1995, where they contributed to the development of a COBOL analysis tool that became successful during the Year 2000 problem. Burl Software was subsequently acquired by Micro Focus.

Robert Hubbard completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University from 1987 to 1991. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1992 to 1993.
