Richard Ahn, PhD, is a Senior Scientist II in Bioinformatics at Pliant Therapeutics, having previously held the position of Senior Scientist I in the same field. Richard's prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Research Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where expertise in bioinformatics, biostatistics, and data management was applied to projects in transplant immunology, antibiotic resistance, and vaccine efficacy. Richard completed a bioinformatics postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, in the Department of Dermatology and earned a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Irvine, where also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher and Statistician. Richard holds a Master of Arts in Economics from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, San Diego.
