Luke Allison has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Luke began their career as a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's Companies, Inc. In this role, they provided assistance to customers and contractors in the Lumber and Building Materials Section.
Luke then worked as a Baker/Chef at Uncle Tony's Pizza and Pasta, a family-owned restaurant, where they were promoted and grew with the company. Luke currently works for Uncle Tony's during school breaks and vacations.
Luke also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Laboratory Technician at Western New England University, where they maintained lab equipment and assisted senior students with their projects when needed.
Luke interned at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, specifically in the District 5 Permits Office. Luke was responsible for drafting, reviewing, and issuing permits to utility and private companies, as well as inspecting construction sites and performing statistical analysis.
At WiTricity Corporation, they started as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, working on wireless power transfer devices. Luke later became a Contract Mechanical Engineer and then a Mechanical Engineer, responsible for design, manufacturing, and operation of wireless electric vehicle chargers.
Luke gained international experience at Atlas Copco Comptec as a Commissioning Engineer. Luke traveled globally to supervise and assist in the installation and commissioning of gas and process compressors.
Currently, Luke is working at Plug Power as a Product Service Engineer, supporting the company's service model by focusing on the reliability of fuel cell and hydrogen infrastructure products deployed at customer sites. Luke is involved in customer and third-party relations, technician training, and engineering design optimization.
Luke Allison completed their education history with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University, which they attended from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Seekonk High School from 2009 to 2013. Luke also holds additional certifications in SolidWorks Routing from the SolidWorks Authorised Training Center, which they obtained in May 2018, and in OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Health from the OSHA Safety Training Institute obtained in August 2014.
