Mike O'Connor has over 30 years of work experience. Mike started their career at Sixnet in 1989, where they held various roles including Applications Engineer and Automation Project/Product Manager. Mike managed the design and development of industrial Ethernet switches and served as Chief Mechanical Engineer. Mike also worked as a Product Marketing Manager, overseeing the marketing of automation and Ethernet switching products. O'Connor joined Red Lion Controls in 2010 and served as Director of Hardware Development and Project Manager. Mike managed a team of engineers and oversaw the development of industrial control products. Mike acted as the lead mechanical engineer and designer for various projects. In 2020, they joined Plug Power as Sr. Manager of Electrical and Controls Engineering, GenFuel Hydrogen Systems. Mike then transitioned to the role of Engineering Manager of Electrical and Controls and later to Engineering Product Development Manager. Overall, O'Connor has extensive experience in project management, product development, and engineering.

Mike O'Connor attended Clarkson University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
