Daniel Baird

Daniel Baird has extensive work experience in the software engineering industry. Daniel is currently working as a Product Architect for Application Integration at Pluto TV. In this role, they have designed solutions for integrating podcasts into Pluto TV and developed a client messaging system. Daniel has also provided cross-team and cross-organizational consulting and worked on a Flutter reference application for session and ad handling, player mechanics, and integration of the Paramount Avia player into various platforms.

Prior to Pluto TV, Daniel worked at LiveOne, Inc. as the Director of Web and Connected Devices. Here, they built a React and AWS-based website, socialgloves.livexlive.com, within two weeks to handle specialized traffic requirements for a large pay-per-view event.

Before LiveOne, Daniel held the position of Director of Web & Connected Devices at Slacker, Inc. Daniel led a team in developing customer-facing Slacker players and ecommerce front ends for web, automotive, and consumer electronics devices. Daniel played a crucial role in transitioning the company's playback technology from Flash to HTML5 and from RTMP to HLS.

Daniel also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Yahoo!, where they built a highly scalable architecture for the Yahoo Music Engine web-based UI and played a key role in the release of Yahoo Music Engine 1.0.

Their early career includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Musicmatch, where they led the development of web front ends for Musicmatch Guide, embedded web UI, and interfaces for Musicmatch On Demand, Radio, and Download store.
