Abhinav Gupta began their work experience in 1997 as a Microsoft Research Intern. Abhinav then worked at Oracle Corp as a Principal Member Technical Staff, where they were responsible for architecting and coding various features in the database server. After their time at Oracle, Abhinav joined Yahoo as the Director of Engineering and Architecture. There, they led the development of the Behavior Targeting (BT) and Recommendations Service, which generated significant revenues for the company. Following their role at Yahoo, Abhinav founded Rocket Fuel Inc, where they served as the Founder and VP Engineering. At Rocket Fuel, they built a platform to automatically target and optimize marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Abhinav then founded Pocketpills in 2017, where they currently hold the roles of Founder, CTO, and Chairman. Pocketpills is a tech-driven Canadian pharmacy that aims to redefine the pharmacy experience for consumers by providing pre-sorted medications and free doorstep delivery through their innovative online platform.
Abhinav Gupta's education history follows a chronological sequence. From 1978 to 1992, they attended Hans Raj Model School in Delhi, where they completed their high school education. Moving forward, between 1992 and 1996, they pursued a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Finally, in 1996 and 1997, Abhinav enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained an M.S. degree in Computer Science.
