Carol Cairns

Carol Cairns currently serves as the Chief Asset Officer at Portsmouth Water, leading asset management initiatives to enhance organizational value and performance. Previously, Carol chaired the Constructing Excellence in the North East Board, promoting sustainability within the industry. Additional experience includes roles at Northumbrian Water Group as Head of PMO and Strategic Planning Manager, overseeing investment programs and wastewater service planning. Carol also held various project and engineering management positions at Mott MacDonald, the Legal Services Commission, and Ferguson McIlveen, alongside early engineering roles at Northumberland County Council, after obtaining a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Sunderland.
