Ina Baum has a diverse work experience in various research and project coordination roles. Ina currently serves as the Head of Science Management at the PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Evaluation at the same institute from June 2020 to March 2022. Before joining PIK, Ina worked as a Scientific Advisor for Evaluation at the Museum für Naturkunde from June 2017 to May 2020. Ina also served as a Science Coordinator at the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Development, Harding Center for Risk Literacy from September 2016 to May 2017. In addition, Ina has experience as a Science Coordinator at PIK from May 2015 to February 2016 and as a Project Officer at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) from May 2013 to September 2015. Ina started their career as a Project Coordinator at Deutsche UNESCO-Kommission e.V. in 2008, where they worked until 2012.
Ina Baum obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies & International Management from Hamline University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Ina then pursued further education and obtained their Master's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Freie Universität Berlin, studying there from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degrees, Ina Baum has also obtained a certification in Public Policy Analysis from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in January 2022.
