Tesfaye Hailu

Tesfaye Hailu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Tesfaye is currently the Country Director at Power for All, where they are responsible for the Powering Agriculture: Ethiopia project, facilitating market transformation and coordinating sector actors to generate demand for renewable energy products. Prior to this, they worked as the Country Head - Ethiopia at Triple Line, building and managing the operational infrastructure for the firm's projects in the Horn of Africa. Tesfaye has also served as the Country Programme Manager at SouthSouthNorth and as the CDKN Ethiopia - Project Manager at the Climate and Development Knowledge Network, where they advised public and private entities on climate change strategies and supported the Government of Ethiopia in accessing climate finance. In addition, Tesfaye has worked as a Water and Energy Consultant, a Technical Consultant & Lead Advisor at Chemonics International, and a Project Manager at Celler Brunnenbau GmbH. Their experience includes expertise in renewable energy, water well drilling, feasibility studies, project management, and advising various ministries and agencies.

Tesfaye Hailu obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science from Addis Ababa University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Tesfaye then pursued a Master's degree in Geophysics at the same university, completing their studies from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they attended the Indian National School, although specific information regarding the years attended and the degree obtained is not provided.
