Dawn Robinson

Director - Social Responsibility And Human Rights at Proforest

Dawn Robinson is an experienced professional in social responsibility and human rights within the forestry sector, currently serving as the Director of Social Responsibility and Human Rights at Proforest since October 2016. Prior to this role, Dawn held various positions at Proforest from 2006 to 2016, including Regional Director for Latin America and Project Manager. Earlier experience includes independent consulting on community natural resource management and the impacts of certification between 2004 and 2006, as well as serving as a Social Policy Officer at the Forest Stewardship Council International from 2001 to 2004, where Dawn developed a Social Strategy and led initiatives for small-scale producers. Additional roles included lecturing and researching at Universidad de Quintana Roo, and working in community forestry with the Department for International Development. Dawn holds a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Environment and Development from the University of East Anglia, an M.Sc. in Forestry from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Southampton.
