Mary Murphy has over two decades of experience in the field of education, with a focus on leadership and special education. Mary began their career as the LEA/Director of Special Education at the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union in 2000. Mary then served as the Education Director at Bennington School, Inc, followed by a brief role as the Vice President of Regional Education Services at Easterseals. Mary later joined American Heritage Schools as the Department Chair and Academy Instructor before transitioning to a role as an Educational Leadership Consultant. Most recently, Mary has been working at Project Lead The Way, first as the Director of School Engagement and currently as the Senior Director of School Success for the East Region.
Mary Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Springfield College. Mary then pursued a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at Castleton University. Additionally, they completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration/Special Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Mary also engaged in Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at the same university.
