Desiree Matia Mfa

Desiree Matia, MFA has a diverse work experience in the field of arts education. Desiree started their career at Propel Schools in 2008 as an Art Teacher for grades K-8. In this role, they developed lesson plans, led classes, and facilitated activities with students. Desiree also took the initiative to lead after-school art clubs and extra-curricular activities. After completing their tenure as an Art Teacher in 2013, they returned to Propel Schools in 2016 and took on various roles within the organization. Desiree initially worked as an Art Educator and then progressed to serve as an Arts District Coach and an Assistant Director of Arts Education.
