Weerapat Tanyakan

Weerapat Tanyakan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Weerapat is currently the Head of Operations at Qarbon Aerospace since April 2021.

Prior to this, Weerapat worked at General Motors for a significant portion of their career. From July 2019 to March 2021, they held the role of Plant Operational Lead (Acting) and Sr. Manager Manufacturing Engineering & Plant Maintenance, where they oversaw and managed various plant operations including manufacturing engineering, SHE, production, maintenance, plant services, supply chain, and quality assurance. Weerapat also served as a country representative, trainer, implementation lead, and Global Manufacturing Standardization Auditor.

From April 2017 to June 2019, Weerapat was the Senior Production Manager (Powertrain) at General Motors. In this role, they managed manufacturing operations, strategic planning, product quality, productivity, and efficiency improvement. Weerapat also supported the implementation of new product programs and performed manufacturing risk management.

Prior to that, from January 2009 to March 2017, Weerapat held the position of Global Manufacturing System and Industrial Engineering Manager at General Motors. Here, they developed and implemented the plant scorecard, production processes, productivity management, and capacity planning. Weerapat was also responsible for training and developing employees and creating promotion plans.

Weerapat started their career at Siam Hitashi Elevator Ltd. as a Process Engineer from July 2002 to December 2002. In this role, they prepared assembly guidelines, trained production staff, and worked on process improvement and product quality resolutions.

Overall, Weerapat Tanyakan has a strong background in operations management, manufacturing engineering, and process improvement gained through their various roles at General Motors and Siam Hitashi Elevator Ltd.

Weerapat Tanyakan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Production Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok. Weerapat also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Operations Management from NIDA Thailand.
