Bahaa ABUDAYA has a diverse work experience in the field of art and museums. Bahaa started their career as a Consultant for Creativity Development Training Workshops in Amman in 2008. Bahaa then worked as the Deputy Manager & Coordinator of the Exhibitions Department at the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar from 2008 to 2009. Bahaa then joined the Ministry of Culture in Bahrain as a Co-curator in 2010.
From 2012 to 2016, Bahaa held various roles including Curator and Chargé de collections et d'expositions Art contemporain at the Institut du Monde Arabe, Conservateur de musée (Museum Curator) Stagiaire International at the Institut National du Patrimoine INP, and Curator of Collections at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art.
Bahaa served as a Museums Expert at the Ministry of Culture in Qatar from 2014 to 2015. In 2014, they also became a Visiting Associate Professor at Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
Since 2016, Bahaa has been associated with Qatar Museums, where they started as a Curator of Contemporary Art and later became the Senior Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art. Bahaa is currently working in this role.
In 2019, they also took on the position of Lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts.

Bahaa ABUDAYA completed a PhD in Modern and Contemporary Art from Université Paris 8 between 2007 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master II "Professional" degree in Cultural Management, Science, and Technique of Exhibitions from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2006-2007. Their education also includes a Master II "Research" degree in Contemporary Arts and New Media from Université Paris 8, which they completed between 2005 and 2006.
