Olivier Boireau

Olivier Boireau has extensive experience in the technology and hardware engineering industry. Olivier currently serves as the CTO of Quantum Circuits, Inc., a company focused on quantum computing. Previously, they held the position of VP of Hardware Engineering at Samsara from December 2019 to February 2022, where they led the engineering team in developing and launching devices for fleet tracking and safety monitoring. Before that, Olivier was the VP of Hardware Engineering at KeepTruckin from January 2018 to December 2019, where they played a crucial role in improving the efficiency of America's trucking industry.

Prior to their roles at Samsara and KeepTruckin, Olivier founded and served as the CEO of Design SHIFT, a product development consultancy, from 2009 to 2019. Olivier provided project management and engineering services to transform new concepts into consumer devices. Olivier also held leadership positions at Palm Inc, where they served as the VP of Hardware Platform and Director of System Engineering from 2005 to 2009. In these roles, they led teams and integrated new platforms into the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi devices.

Before their time at Palm Inc, Olivier worked at Sendo as the Director of Hardware Smartphone Development from 1999 to 2005. Olivier was responsible for designing and manufacturing smartphone devices. Additionally, Olivier gained experience at Sensei Ltd as an Electrical Engineer from 1998 to 1999, where they focused on digital electronic engineering and LCD design for Sensei phones.

At the start of their career, Olivier worked as an Electrical Engineer at Philips Consumer Communications, where they played a key role in optimizing power consumption for mobile phone devices. Olivier also worked in electronic warfare technologies as an Electrical Engineer for the 785 Company at the French Army, where they developed wireless communication interceptors.

Throughout their career, Olivier Boireau has demonstrated their expertise in hardware engineering, project management, and leadership roles.

Olivier Boireau completed their Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and Manufacturing Processes from EFAB (School of Weaponry Manufacturing of Bourges) in 1990. Olivier then pursued a Master's degree in Electronic and Computer Science from EFREI - Grande école du numérique, which they successfully completed in 1995.
