Brendan Hertel

Brendan Hertel is a seasoned media professional currently serving as the Media Coordinator for Queensland Rugby Union (Queensland Reds) since February 2012. In this role, Brendan focuses on promoting and managing media for various grassroots and community rugby programs, including Queensland Premier Rugby and Queensland Country Rugby. Responsibilities also encompass media management for the Queensland Country National Rugby Championship team and the Queensland Women’s XV, alongside daily media operations for the Queensland Reds. Prior experience includes serving as a Media Intern at Queensland Rugby, where Brendan supported media operations for the junior development program and other initiatives, as well as working as a Ride Operator at Aussie World and a Delivery Driver for PDL Toll. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Arts & Business in Public Relations and Accounting from the University of the Sunshine Coast, completed in 2012, and is an alumnus of Matthew Flinders Anglican College.
