Ofer Markovits

Ofer Markovits has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Ofer currently holds the position of Chief Systems Architect at RGo Robotics since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Innoviz Technologies as a Senior Systems Architect from February 2019 to February 2022, where they were responsible for pointcloud performance, architecture definitions for LiDAR, and customer enablement.

Before joining Innoviz Technologies, Ofer worked at Intel Corporation in multiple roles. Ofer served as a RealSense LiDAR Systems Architect from April 2018 to February 2019. Ofer also held the position of Virtual Reality HMD Lead System Architect from February 2017 to April 2018, where they were responsible for overall product requirements, UX/UI definitions, and go-to-market planning. Additionally, they worked as a WiFi System Architecture Team Leader from February 2015 to February 2017 and led a team of system engineers responsible for WiFi Core MAC architecture and key performance indicators.

Prior to their tenure at Intel, Ofer Markovits worked at IAF - Israeli Air Force as a Wireless Networks System R&D Team Leader from April 2004 to October 2005. Ofer also worked as a Wireless Networks Senior System Engineer from an undisclosed start date to June 2004. Additionally, they worked as a VLSI Engineer at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems from April 1997 to August 1998.

Overall, Ofer Markovits has a strong background in system architecture, particularly in areas such as LiDAR, virtual reality, wireless networks, and imaging systems.

Ofer Markovits completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1998.
