Patricia Hatcher has over 30 years of work experience in the field of human resources. Patricia began their career as an HR/Benefits Specialist at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative in 2005 and held this position until 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they served as the Human Resources Administrator at the same company. Patricia was then promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2017 and subsequently became the Managing Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development in 2018. Prior to their role at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, Patricia worked as a Compensation Benefits Specialist at VHDA from 2003 to 2005. Patricia also served as an HR Manager at Digital Systems International Corporation from 1989 to 2002.
Patricia Hatcher obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Averett University, which they attended from 1994 to 1997. Patricia then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resource Management from Capella University, studying from 2009 to 2012.
In addition to their degrees, Patricia has earned several certifications. In 2013, they obtained the PHR certification from the HR Certification Institute. In 2015, they acquired the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM.
