Boyd Parkinson

Senior Integration Engineer at Ready Computing

Boyd Parkinson has over 30 years of work experience, with diverse roles in software engineering and development. Starting in 1989, they worked as a Developer at Eyring Research Institute. From 1992 to 1997, they served as a Sr. Software Engineer at WordPerfect Corp. Their time at Intel from 1997 to 2001 involved creating and maintaining the LanDesk Client manager, a web interface client-server application. At AccessData from 2004 to 2012, Boyd worked as a Sr. Software Engineer, maintaining legacy Forensic Toolkit products and developing new functionality for both old and new versions. From 2013 to 2016, at Blue Coat Systems, they served as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, developing statistics collection and retrieval databases and APIs for CAS. Boyd also maintained the ProxyAV legacy C++ windows application. At FamilySearch.com from 2016 to 2017, Boyd worked as a Senior Software Engineer, developing a standalone app for managing photos and camera control for archiving historical records. Boyd fixed bugs and added enhancements to the DCAM product. Currently, Boyd is appointed as a Senior Integration Engineer at Ready Computing from 2022.

Boyd Parkinson attended Brigham Young University from 1984 to 1989, where they studied Computer Science. Boyd did not obtain a specific degree during this period. In 2018, Boyd obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
