Doordarshini Heerah started their work experience as a Supply Teacher (Economics) at Frank Richard SSS/ Sharma Jugdambi SSS in February 2012. Doordarshini then joined the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in September 2012 as an Analyst/Senior Analyst and worked there until January 2019. After that, they worked as a Policy Officer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from March 2021 to July 2022. Currently, they are working as an ESG Analyst at Redburn since August 2022.
Doordarshini Heerah completed their MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2020. Prior to this, they obtained a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Finance from the University of Mauritius and later pursued an MSc in Financial Economics from the same institution.
In addition to their academic degrees, Doordarshini has obtained various certifications. In 2021, they received certifications in HTML & CSS from Code at Uni, Python for Data Science: Fundamentals Course from Dataquest.io, and ArcGIS Online Basics / Getting Started with Spatial Analysis from Esri. In 2018, they completed a certification in Projects Preparation through the SOURCE platform from the Sustainable Infrastructure Foundation. Furthermore, they obtained an edX Honor Code Certificate for Financial Programming and Policies, Part 2: Program Design from the International Monetary Fund in 2015. Prior to that, in 2015, they completed a certification in Economic Management for African English-speaking Countries from the Ministry of Commerce, China: Academy for International Business Officials. Lastly, in 2014, they obtained a certification in Macro-Fiscal Modeling and Analysis from the International Monetary Fund.
