Conrad Kimbugwe is a legal professional with significant experience in refugee law and litigation. Currently serving as a Legal Trainee at the University of Cape Town Refugee Rights Unit since March 2024, Kimbugwe supports refugee clients and asylum seekers with claims and documentation. In addition, Kimbugwe holds the position of Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic Litigation and serves as a Legal Officer at both the Refugee Law Project at Makerere University and Otoa International and Associates. Previous roles include Commercial Associate at OFSERV, Corporate Lawyer, and Legal Assistant at Uganda National Oil Company Limited. Earlier experience includes a legal internship with the Refugee Law Project and a contractor role at the Bank of Uganda. Kimbugwe's educational background comprises a Fellowship in Law from the Center for Strategic Litigation, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University.
