Roelien van Neck

Roelien van Neck has extensive experience in the legal field, currently serving as Chair and Board Member of the Netherlands Association of Computer Lawyers (VIRA) since April 2018. In addition, Roelien has been the Editor of the legal journal 'Juridisch up to Date' with Rendement Uitgeverij BV since September 2015, and holds the position of Partner and lawyer at Bird & Bird since April 2007. Previous roles include Legal Counsel IT at Shell International during a secondment in 2007, and lawyer at Boekel De Neree from 2000 to 2007. Roelien also gained experience as Legal Counsel at Canal Plus during a secondment in 2002-2003. Roelien contributed to UCL as an Alumni Volunteer from October 2021 to May 2022, mentoring current students. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Law from Leiden University and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law and Media Law from UCL, completed in 1999 and 2007, respectively.
