Electrical Design Engineer (consultant) at Renewable Energy Systems

Nathan Edmunds has extensive work experience in electrical design engineering. Nathan started their career in 1993 as an Electrician at SWALEC and later transitioned to the role of Electrical Design Engineer in December 1997. During their time at SWALEC, they gained experience in electrical design engineering and developed their skills in this field. In 2002, they joined EPS Construction Ltd and RES as an Electrical Design Engineer, specializing in earthing system design for renewable energy projects such as Wind Farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Nathan worked on projects in various markets including the UK, Ireland, Sweden, France, USA, and Canada. Nathan utilized the CDEGS suite of software packages, including RESAP, MALT, MALZ, and FCdist, for earthing system design. Nathan also performed supporting calculations using Mathcad.

Nathan Edmunds began their education in 1992 at Pontypool College, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering for a year. Nathan then went on to Newport College from 1993 to 1996, where they pursued an apprenticeship in becoming an Electrician. Following that, from 1997 to 1999, Nathan attended Bridgend College to further specialize in Electrical Technician training. Lastly, from 1999 to 2002, they studied Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering at UWCN Newport (Allt-yr-yn Campus). No degree information is provided for any of their educational experiences.
