Greg Ellis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the tobacco industry. Greg started their career at Conwood Co. in 1987 as a Territory Sales Representative, where they were responsible for all business within the territory. Greg then moved to the position of Territory Sales Manager, where they established a new territory and doubled sales volume in each of two years. In 1989, they were promoted to District Sales Manager in Detroit, where they grew the moist business in the district to support additional territories and a chain account manager.
In 1997, Ellis joined American Snuff Co. as Director Regional Sales, leading the Central Region sales team to achieve a company high of $180M+ annual sales. Greg established relationships with wholesale and retail customers in a 10-state area and maintained budget integrity. Greg then became Director of Regional Sales for Conwood, overseeing sales operations in Memphis and managing the merger with RJReynolds.
From 2011 to present, Ellis has held various roles at Lane Limited, including Retail Trade Manager, Strategic Account Manager, and Regional Sales Manager. Greg has been involved in rebuilding Lane Limited as an industry leader and has been responsible for hiring and training retail teams, building relationships with wholesale and chain account customers, and developing sales strategies.
Most recently, Ellis has been working as a Key Account Manager at Republic Tobacco - DRL Enterprises since 2018.
Greg Ellis attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 1984 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Greg also earned a BS degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the same institution during the same period.
