Mohammed Lamorde has a diverse work experience in the field of global health security and clinical management mentoring. Mohammed is currently serving as the Project Director for the 7-1-7 Alliance at Resolve To Save Lives since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) where they held several leadership positions. From October 2019 to June 2023, they served as the Head of Department for Global Health Security. From October 2015 to September 2019, they were the Head of Prevention Care and Treatment. Additionally, they held the position of Head Clinical Trials and EDCTP Senior Fellow from November 2012 to September 2015 at IDI. Mohammed Lamorde also gained experience at the World Health Organization as a Consultant for Clinical Management Mentoring in April and May 2015.
Mohammed Lamorde obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Ibadan. this qualification was achieved between 1992 and 2000. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Clinical Pharmacology at Trinity College Dublin from 2007 to 2012. In addition to their degrees, Lamorde obtained a certification as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians in November 2010.
